The verse is a very decently powerful series despite its ecchi-nature genre. Even in the early volumes like 2, there are already existed mountain busting attacks and characters who can withstand them. The more higher up characters go even beyond, with those such as Serafall being stated by wipe out Japan several times over and characters possessing weapons and abilities able to bring destruction to the world. Speed-wise, the characters all have varying degrees of supersonic to hypersonic feats, up to reaching as high as massively hypersonic to light speed.
The plot centers around Issei Hyoudou, a high school student from Kuoh Academy who aspires to be a harem king but is killed by his first date, who turns out to be a fallen angel. Later, a red-haired devil princess, Rias Gremory, resurrects him as a devil to serve her and her family.
